base2stay™ Liverpool Opens in Summer 2010

The new base2stay™ Liverpool hotel, in the very heart of Liverpool's "Ropewalks" area and part of the UNESCO World Heritage site, will open in the summer of 2010.

Surrounded by the city's best restaurants, clubs, museums, designer shops and bars - the new 106 room base2stay hotel will be within walking distance of the main train station, the new Liverpool One shopping centre and the Albert Docks on the River Mersey.

The historic building, a former print works dating from the 1850's, is being painstakingly redeveloped, retaining many of its original heritage features whilst still having a modern, contemporary feel, with air-conditioning, base2stay's™ mini-kitchens, fabulous bathrooms and free Wi-Fi in every room - and our 24/7 Concierge Service will be available to help guests explore this great city.

Guests will be offered a wide variety of room choices, from super singles through to our amazing deluxe rooms, many of which are on two levels. More details will be revealed shortly.

Due to the significance of the restoration of this historic building within the "Ropewalks", the project was awarded a grant by Liverpool City Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund, the North West Development Agency, City Focus and English Heritage. The Ropewalks is recognised as Liverpool's vibrant, trendy, edgy Design Quarter, with an eclectic mix of old and new, traditional and cutting edge. Situated between the commercial/retail centre and the Universities, theatres and entertainment areas, there's something for everyone on our doorstep.
